A single-varietal Sémillon, about a quarter of which was aged in new wooden barrels - I really want to mention this here so that you are not surprised, because you know and share our preference for “unadorned” natural beauties. This touch of wood is of course not unexpected for a wine from the west of France and I must admit that it suits it quite well. A hint of exoticism definitely resonates in the aroma and goes well with the lemon flavors, the pear scent, the spicy note and the wonderful, hellishly beguiling berry scent. Medium-bodied, it moves through the palate and shows great acidity at the end, giving the wine an almost never-ending finish. A wine created by a genius of the wine world, Jean-Marie Guffens-Heynen, who still receives far too little attention. You can look forward to this wine, which will give you immediate pleasure, but which can also age well. Something different, isn't it?
