This one, for me in any case, because I can't speak for you, is the mother of all Aligotés! I have never tasted anything like it, no Roulot, no Coche, no Pataille can compete with it, En Gerlieus is so complex, so profound, so indescribably clear, quite simply a different universe. The vines that provide the fruit for this unique wine are between 40 and 100 years old and, according to Talloulah, they not only deliver great quality, no, the quantity is still right even in old age. This is a sign that the plants are feeling well, and if they feel well, the winegrower has a unique opportunity! The scent of white flowers combines with that of ripe mandarins and peeled almonds. Killer! The wine powerfully takes over the palate. Just at the right moment, the structure works its way through to the receptors and gives the wine a light-footed, unimaginably mineral, fresh and harmonious finish. To this day, this is MY Aligoté, I have never tasted anything better from this variety!
