Cassiopée's entry-level Aligoté is called Mitancherie. Measured by the quality of this wine and compared to other Aligotés, however, it is a mighty high quality entry-level wine! The mineral core of the wine already manifests itself in its aroma. The aromas of freshly torn zest from a wide variety of citrus fruits are absolutely magnificent. It is also wonderful how minerality, pear fruit and a certain floral note are combined with a clarity, or rather purity, that is difficult to describe, to create a powerfully attractive aroma that has a strong influence on expectations. Clearly, the wine delivers on the palate what it promised on the nose. A great Aligoté that you will love if you manage to get your hands on some - production is extremely limited, the plot is just half a hectare in size!
