Chablis

The Bessins are a modest but proud family of winegrowers who passionately tend their vineyards by hand, which is no longer a matter of course in Chablis. The vinification is classic and the ageing is aroma-neutral in a tank or in used wooden barrels, but on the fine lees, without battonage and for up to 18 months. What comes out of the bottle is simply fantastic. Even this Village Chablis is a real gem! It smells wonderfully of green apples, white flowers and even whole lemon zest. Somehow there also seems to be something salty in the bouquet. The wine really turns on the palate. It appears self-confident, is not stingy with its charms, shows its shoulders, but in the next moment it unpacks its racy side and ends in a long finish, with the highest precision. What a wine, what an entry-level wine! Chapeau!
