Chardonnay Lauren Estate

Chardonnay God, you could also call Mark Aubert. Do you agree? Or do you know better Chardonnays from California? Other good ones perhaps, like Kongsgaard or Marcassin, Littorai maybe. In any case, Aubert's Chardonnays play in the premier class and I dare say they have clearly dominated it in recent seasons, together with Kongsgaard. The wines of the 2021 vintage, a rather cool year with a long vegetation period, are among the best I have tasted in many years. The grapes were full of intense aromas, had time to ripen without record temperatures and fermented easily, almost effortlessly and playfully. The wine smells hellishly good, like green tea, white peach and brioche. Hmmm! So good! The wine flows energetically on the palate without any rough edges, yet with contours and an incredibly long, intense, clear and saline, fresh finish. Great cinema!
