There aren't 1000 bottles of this wine. Mind you, I'm talking about the total production, not our allocation, just so we don't get the wrong idea. Mike doesn't take the easy way out and gives his all in the vineyard. He is a winemaker who knows that you can't make great wines like this in the cellar, but that they grow in the vineyard. Great wines are never "made" anyway, great wines grow and mature. So this one has what it takes to be a blockbuster, as they say in the USA. Richly aromatic, almost somewhat exotic, it smells of vineyard peach, lemon blossom, toasted white almonds, freshly baked brioche and later, with more air, of rain that has just fallen on warm asphalt. Hallelujah! What a scent! The feeling on the palate is also great, where it moves wonderfully harmoniously over the tongue, showing quite a lot of power, before it then delivers a killer finish, a mineral, almost salty one! Hellishly good!
