Furmint

For us, Furmint is the king of the eastern grape varieties, because it can convey the soil and terroir just as well as Riesling; the art lies in preserving the finesse and delicacy and getting the thin berry skins into the cellar intact. Bott Frigyes' Furmint is vinified in a straightforward and simple manner, with whole cluster pressing, fermentation in used Slovenian oak barrels and ageing on the lees until bottling.

The result is a lively and delicate Furmint. Fresh citrus notes, candied mandarin zest, a hint of fresh meadow herbs, very inviting bouquet. Juicy, delicately spicy, lively with a mineral, chalky finish.
