Grüner Veltliner Loam

2022

Traubensorten Grüner Veltliner
Trinktemperatur 10° - 12°

Friesenrock, no, we don't mean the dance, but Friesenrock, the site where Kurt Angerer has some of his Grüner Veltliner, from which he presses the Loam. Friesenrock is a clay site that retains a little more moisture than other soils, which is an advantage in dry years. Even growth and an equally even ripening process result in harmonious wines. The Loam is just such a wine. The wine has an exotic aroma of yellow fruit, papaya and pineapple, herbs and a very delicate hint of tobacco. That's really exotic, isn't it? Creamy and mineral, it fills the palate, wonderful honeydew melon and pear nuances linger until the moment when the acidity brightens everything up and lets the wine finish juicy and slightly salty. Bravo, Kurt!
