Traubensorten Chasselas
Trinktemperatur 10° - 12°

Chasselas is Chasselas. But you shouldn't expect the classic Chasselas if you want to try Wasenhaus' Chasselas. Alexander and Christoph have a different expectation of their Chasselas - different from the Chasselas wines you may know and love from Switzerland. The Chasselas was only allowed to macerate for two days, but that was exactly enough, which gives it a very fine texture and also maneuvers it aromatically in a direction that is completely different from a boring Swiss Chasselas - of course I know that there are also good Swiss Chasselas: Chappaz, Clavien or Ruedin, which we have on offer ourselves. Chasselas smells wonderfully yellow-fruity and also spicy and delicately of the yeast on which it was allowed to rest for a whole winter and spring. The presence of the wine on the palate is somewhat unexpected, as this lightweight (this wine is the lightest in Wasenhaus' entire line-up) fills the palate impressively, yet remains precise and finishes juicy and to the point. It is important for you to know that the wine needs air to develop. The patient will notice how complex this Chasselas is!
