Petit Manseng

The first was Petit Orange, which was not yet called that at the time, but simply bore the name of the grape variety from which it was made, i.e. Petit Manseng. It was fermented, albeit only for a short time, on the deep yellow, perhaps even slightly orange skins. The result was a powerfully unexpected but highly interesting wine. As the Baron is intelligent, extremely interested and extremely strong-willed, he had to prove that Petit Manseng is not just a "freak". The result is this wine, which he calls Petit Manseng, with a wonderfully spicy aroma, clear, focused, almost steely, as if guided by an imaginary guiding channel, flowing straight through the palate before fanning out and exerting powerful pressure, but only to end with a wonderfully fresh, even crisp finish.
