And this Puligny here, Les Chalumaux, is more for those of you, dear customers, who like wines with broader shoulders, wines that have power without losing precision. I know this must sound contradictory at first, but it's not, not here at the Martelets. I think it's great that Les Chalumaux develops a little sooner, i.e. offers full enjoyment more quickly than Hameau de Blagny. Sometimes you lose patience and it is an advantage to have this wine in the cellar. Chalumaux matures partly in 500-liter barrels, is surprisingly mineral, but not only, there are also flowers to be smelled, more yellow than white this time, the fruit here also tends more towards something yellow (mirabelle plums I think) and perhaps some honey is also mixed in with all this aromatic splendor. The wine takes the palate with confidence, radiating unbridled energy, clear as the purest diamond. Touching, this wine!
