ust a few dozen meters north of one of the most famous Chardonnay vineyards in the world, next to Bienvenues-Bâtard Montrachet, on the golden line, i.e. at the same altitude, lies Pascal's plot in the venerable east-facing Clos des Meix, the heart of Les Pucelles, which was planted in 1970. Naturally, the expectations of a wine from such a prominent location are extremely high, but don't worry, the wine not only meets these expectations, for me personally it even exceeds them. The first impression could be described as reservedly aristocratic. But with a little air, classic aromas develop wonderfully: white flowers, for example, perhaps some green pears and a hint of roasted hazelnuts. Certainly, the wine still needs some time, but the complexity is immense. The mouthfeel is dense, but precise and wonderfully harmonious. A superb Chardonnay that will have plenty to tell the patient connoisseur!
