This Lieu-Dit Corvée des Vignes borders directly on Meursault, sprouts early and is a guarantee for a beautiful wine even in difficult vintages. In good years, wonderfully ripe grapes can be harvested here, resulting in a powerful wine. The phenolic ripeness of the fruit gives rise to a dense wine which, on the other hand, magically retains freshness and precision. Jean-Marc's Puligny-Montrachet Corvée des Vignes is a prime example of this situation. The wine smells seductively of juicy, ripe pears, lemon oil and somehow also very delicately of crème patissier. The wine impressively fills the palate, its fine acidity works its way through the athletic body, shaping it and allowing the wine to fade out with incredible clarity and precision, leaving behind a chalky, delicately salty impression. Great!
