Dagueneau's Fumé Blanc is often relegated to second place, quite wrongly in my opinion, as I have already explained. Not so with Pur Sang, which almost every child knows, the little brother of Silex, Dagueneau's flagship. Pur Sang can sometimes be found on the wine lists of well-stocked restaurants. Silex, that is rather more difficult. However, calling Pur Sang the little brother of Silex is not entirely fair and certainly not correct, as it is simply a different terroir and does not differ from Silex in any way in terms of quality. Cool for us, who are not interested in names, but in wine. Right? What I want to say is: wherever you come across Dagueneau wines, go for them, because they are rare and hard to find. The Pur Sang is a hell of a wine, endowed with incredible aromatic splendor, rich and juicy, filling the palate and seemingly never-ending. Great cinema!
