Riesling Auslese (dry) Kallstadter Saumagen

What a wonderful wine, an Auslese like something out of a book! Citrus fruits characterize the fragrance, but they are ripe citrus fruits, warm and of course there is also a truckload of vineyard peaches, which form the basis, the framework for this super neat fragrance. Somewhere, way down, there seem to be honeycombs subtly influencing the perfume. Some botritis was certainly present. But that doesn't bother at all, it gives the wine the right twist. Great! On the palate, the wine is wonderfully balanced, mouth-filling, juicy and with a never-ending mineral finish. A rarity! So get to the bacon!
