I'm not quite sure yet, but I have the feeling - and I've rarely been wrong about this - that this wine can rival the legend, the 1998, when it reaches maturity. The scent of tropical fruit is unheard of, like ripe papaya, and the next time the wine turns in the glass, wonderful notes of passion fruit work their way to the surface. Passion fruit, that was before, now there are spicy components such as ginger and fine kitchen herbs in interplay with malty, indeed malty notes. This depth! Unbelievable! Muscular yet silky, it moves through the palate and its wonderfully balanced acidity shapes the athletic body into an Adonis. Treat yourself to this elixir and give it time.
