You don't generally hear much about wines from the Setzberg at the entrance to the Spitzergraben. But I am convinced that factors such as the weathered gneiss soil and the cool downslope winds - not only in warm years - as well as the wonderful exposure can produce outstanding wines here. As always, the human factor is of course also decisive in Setzberg. But in this case, with Franz Hirtzberger on the label, you can be sure that you are buying top quality! A wine that combines enchanting floral aromas with fruity - a hot combination of peach and apricot - components and mineral notes to create an incredibly beguiling perfume. Tropical fruit on the palate and a fresh acidity make the wine dance light-footedly. This Riesling is wonderfully robust. My favorite!
