Sancerre La Grande Côte

Grande Côte is always somewhat more restrained in its aromas than its brother from the Monts Damnés vineyard. It shows a different side of the Loire, but one that is no less interesting. Minerality is the salt in the soup here. But don't worry, the Sauvignon Blanc is perfectly recognizable, it's just that the earthy, mineral notes are just as prominent as the beguiling fruit of the Sauvignon. Worked out by the terroir, not by the winemaker, nota bene! The wine flows into the palate in a very straightforward and focused manner, is harmonious and seems to flow without resistance. The saliva flows and makes the wine juicy, everything is in balance and almost doesn't want to leave the stage. A long finale that you will gladly give a second or third curtain call!
