The Rhône flows through Geneva, so growing Viognier here in the Geneva hinterland is not too far-fetched. No, it's actually the right thing to do! Jean-Pierre is just as much of a jack-of-all-trades as his schoolmate Marie-Thérèse Chappaz; the two of them went to Changins together and learned the theory of winemaking there. But as we all know, a school can only give you the tools, because it is life, experience and hard work that make you a wine artist like Chappaz or Pellegrin. His Viognier, which smells wonderfully of apricots, violets and warm spices, immediately casts a spell over you. On the palate, the wine is powerful, but also dynamic, lively and finishes wonderfully mineral, almost salty. Undoubtedly a great wine and a wonderful type of Viognier that you should definitely not miss!
