Viré Clessé

Why a Viré Clessé? An appellation that nobody knows? Quite simply because the wine is a hit! My friend and cooking god Werner Tobler poured me a decanted white wine years ago and asked me what I thought of it. After tasting it, I asked him if he had already spent the whole week's tips on Tuesday to afford a big white Burgundy? Of course Werner grinned and was delighted when he revealed what I had in my glass, this Viré Clessé from Laurent Huet! This hazelnut scent, this beurre noisette, caramel is wonderful. On the palate, the wine exerts a lot of pressure, but ends harmoniously, elegantly juicy and finely salty, i.e. mineral. A great wine for little money. If you are interested in this wine, it deserves your attention!
