Wasenhaus - that's right, this young cult winery in Germany - served as my incubator in this case ... thank you both very much. Giacomo and Alexander Götze (Wasenhaus) worked together in Burgundy at Domaine de Montille, where they sharpened their senses. All the wines are about the terroir, which is rendered as pure, clear and unadulterated as possible. You will immediately notice this when you have Baraldo's Sangiovese in your glass, with brick-red rims, a bright color and an insanely beguiling aroma, like a basket of ripe red berries. Fabulous! Really, you MUST try these wines. Oh yes, finesse and elegance, not power and density, are Giacomo's credo!

We have known and appreciated the wines of Ciacci Piccolomini for many years, but they were never within our reach – until now! They are with us now, which makes us very happy. With Ciacci, we have added classic wines to our range that we really like and that remind us of something we thought we had lost long ago. We are all the more delighted to be able to offer you these magnificent Sangioveses, which embody everything a Sangiovese has to offer and add something extra, such as a fine, fresh extract sweetness that envelops the Sangiovese structure and ultimately makes it smooth! Joy reigns!

Potazzine, a family business as you would imagine it. The good soul that holds everything together and watches over all the sheep, that's right, la Mamma Gigliola Giannetti. The head, i.e. esprit, heart or passion, and the hands that work in the vineyard and cellar are the daughters Viola and Sofia at Potazzine. Their goal: a Brunello that is classic in the best sense of the word, as natural as possible, fermented spontaneously and matured in medium-sized (this is the tradition here in Montalcino), old and therefore aroma-neutral barrels so that the terroir can speak. Monti, the highest municipality in Chianti-Classico, is the home of Marco Ricasoli Firidolfi and Rocca di Montegrossi. Marco does everything he can to extract the ripest and tastiest fruit from the Sangiovese grape, to which he has dedicated himself wholeheartedly. This results in clear, multi-layered wines that are equipped with everything that ultimately delights the heart and palate. Marco handles the aromas obtained in the vineyard in an ethically correct manner with the utmost care in the cellar.

It is our great pleasure to be able to offer you the fantastic wines of the Tolaini family. In the very south of the Chianti Classico region, they produce organic wines that inspire throughout, sometimes even taking your breath away. Nuanced, multi-layered, incredibly exciting, harmonious and not least entertaining at the highest level, the wines can, if you let them, turn a normal Tuesday evening into a Sunday. It's true, tonight I'm meeting my best friend for dinner and I'm taking a bottle of Al Passo with me and turning the day into Sunday.
