Côtes Catalanes De-Là

If I had this De-Là blind in my glass, I would certainly never recognize that this wine comes from the south. Damn Gilles, how do you do that? Brilliant! That raspberry scent, that hint of a sea of blossom, just great! Then suddenly a delicate scent of lavender wafts through the glass followed by the smell of pizza, yes, dried oregano. Everything combines harmoniously to create a super neat fragrance. Simply great! And the palate continues just as seductively. The wine clings beautifully to the palate, shows a fine structure, becomes elegant, focused and starts a wonderfully long, elegant and juicy finish. This is a Syrah for all of us who like it spicy, delicately fruity and elegant. Incidentally, Gill's wines are natural wines, grown biodynamically, vinified without new wood and stabilized with as little sulphur as possible but as much as necessary. An excellent, carefree drinking pleasure!
