Dôle, a few months ago I would never have thought it possible that I would drink something like this again. When I visited Marie-Thérèse, I also thought, hmmm, what's this all about? Marie-Thérèse says that she can't resist making a Dôle, to prove that there can be great wines under this designation if the winemaker only wants to! When I had the wine in my glass and smelled it, I knew what she meant. Because this Dôle from Marie-Thérèse is really good stuff, it smells deliciously of red berries and very fine licorice, flows beautifully into the palate, shows structure and thus also some rough edges, is firm, but also knows how to give. A wine that can be drunk young, but does not have to be. How nice it would be now, some jambon persillé or Valais dried meat and a sip of this Dôle. Home!
