Grain Noir

2023

Traubensorten Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

A Bordeaux cuvée from the Valais, that's what you need as much as a hole in the head, I thought to myself. Well, you listen, taste and learn, that's what I always do. Marie-Thérèse must have noticed from the look on my face that she couldn't understand how anyone could come up with the idea of making such an assemblage here. Even before I had the wine in my glass, she told me that her parents liked to drink Bordeaux a lot. When she started her own business, she wanted to try growing a wine like a Bordeaux in Fully. I thought, well, I've heard a lot of stories like that, let the wine speak for itself. And so it did and totally blew me away! Now I could understand why, because the Grain Noir is a really great wine, better than almost all the Bordeaux I've had in my glass over the past 18 months, and there have been quite a few. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, I tell you!
