Pinot Noir Santa Maria Valley

2021

Traubensorten Pinor Noir
Trinktemperatur 14° - 16°

This Pinot Noir is a poem. Really, believe me! I've been working very intensively with wines from this variety for two years now, and I haven't come across wines of this caliber very often. Of course you can tell that it was grown in a region where there is a lot of sunlight - no, it's never hot in Santa Maria - but the wine is still wonderfully fresh and superbly balanced.

The aromas are reminiscent of dark berries, blackberries perhaps, and then there are ripe raspberries again - I'm torn ... but no matter, the aroma is simply heavenly! The palate is also hot as hell. Powerful, but controlled and structured - silky tannins and acidity - it moves through the palate and ends in a breathtaking finish, harmonious and wonderfully salty at the very end. Oh yes, the vines that provide the fruit for this wine have never been grafted, so they are direct producers, which gives the wine that mysterious, irresistible touch! Wow!
