Grain Noble Marsanne

Sweet wines, I thought at first, is that really necessary? At home we hardly ever drink anything sweet, except when my friend Patrik comes to visit, but even then not always. Usually the sweetness would be too much. Or am I wrong? You see, I'm not sure. But Marie-Thérèse is very sure, there is no doubt about it, ending an evening with sweet wine is a MUST! During my visit, we tasted many wines and selected the wines for Robert Parker's Master Class. She said that she still had a sweet Marsanne, but unfortunately only in a magnum. Pop, and before I knew it, the cork was out of the magnum and the wine was in my glass. It smelled wonderful, like blossom honey, but also like dried apricots, delicious! A fascinating interplay between sweetness and freshness takes place on the palate, which blows me away. Now I'm convinced, sweet wine at the end is a must!
