What a wonderful, seemingly deep and promising aroma this Fendant gives off, great! Here, at Marie-Thérèse, Chasselas smells completely different than behind the Tête du Portail, namely much spicier, livelier, more complex, in a word more interesting. Lime blossom aromas and delicate orange aromas - not the blossom but the flesh of a ripe orange is meant here, perhaps a Tarocco - mingle with spicy herbal aromas. Wonderfully elegant, the next moment the wine flows powerfully into the palate, where it knows how to entertain full of character. The finish is long and classic for a Chasselas, delicately bitter. A great wine!
