Grain Arvine de Fully

Marie-Thérèse is harshly self-critical and is very direct and unembellished when she dislikes something. This is also the case with Arvine, which she often finds too powerful ... not so with this one! The wine smells powerfully of Arvine, i.e. expressively fruity, but also quite spicy. The aroma prepares you for the taste, for the fact that a powerful wine is about to flow onto the palate, where it builds up pressure and spreads great fruit. Towards the end, it fires off a volley of acidity of the best quality and in optimum quantity, revealing a wonderful, salty vein that helps the wine to a great, fabulously long finish. However, it needs time, decanting is a "must"!
