Wow, now that's a cuvée. Sounds wild, doesn't it? Yes, yes, I felt the same way. Once again, however, Marie-Thérèse surprised me with this virtuoso wine, which seems to be shaped more by the location than by the varieties from which it was made. In Les Claviens (Fully), the vines are literally standing on granite, as the layer of humus above the rock is scandalously thin. The vines have to fight for survival here, even more so than in other locations. Marie-Thérèse vinifies this wine as carefully as ever, perhaps even with a little more restraint, and knows how to place the terroir even more in the spotlight. Nevertheless, there are wonderful peach and floral aromas that lead the bouquet away from the minerality. This fantastic wine moves impressively and with verve through the palate, ending with a wonderful mineral, slightly salty finish. Wow!
