Uuuuuh, I can tell you, this wine is completely "down my alley". But first, the facts: En Tremblay is made from the fruit of old, gnarled, deep-rooted vines and is packed with everything Pierresclos has to offer and that's no small amount. My mouth is watering when I read my notes - not easy by the way, because I must have been enormously enthusiastic because my notes are more of a scribble and that always happens when I am really enthusiastic about a wine - to summarize the wine for you in short words: Crisp pears, confit citrus, white flowers, beeswax and quite wonderful mineral components combine to create an insanely animating aroma that makes the wine impossible to resist. Powerful, no, no, controlled powerful, silky, fruity at its core, with cheeky yet perfectly integrated acidity and a wonderfully mineral, salty finish, this wine makes it clear once and for all that the south is the future of white Burgundy.
